Hakubaku Co, a leading name in grain products in Japan, was established in 1941. A desire to have access to the best wheat for Japanese noodles, premium Australian wheat, determined that a local factory would achieve this. Much research was done and the city of Ballarat was settled upon as a clean and green environment with good access to both the organic wheat fields and the Port of Melbourne.
In 2017 Hakubaku was awarded Export Market Leader at the Australian Organic Annual Awards. Each year Australian Organic, Australia's largest and most well known organic certification system, celebrates the contribution of their clients to the organic industry by showcasing the year's most outstanding organic products, businesses and individuals.
Hakubaku is also the #1 Organic Noodle brand in USA and Australia.
Hakubaku Organic Noodles, from the market leader of all dried noodles in Japan, are
made from 100% organic wheat. In fact, 90% of Japanese noodles are made from
Australian wheat. The smooth, firm texture of the noodle creates a distinctive feel which belies its versatility. It can be equally used as a delicious accompaniment to a meal, or as the tantalisingly tasty main dish in soups, stir fries or salads.
